Jason played three seasons at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania where he majored in economics and business management. On the court, he ultimately rose to No. 1 in singles and doubles and was named team captain. He spent his summers during his college years as the assistant professional at the Wilton Riding Club.

After college, Jason moved to Florida to coach at the prestigious Saddlebrook Tennis Academy, where he coached players of all levels from beginners to professionals.

Jason coached Bethanie Mattek-Sands for 18 months while her ranking jumped from 154 to 30. (She went on to achieve the ranking of world No. 1 in doubles winning 7 grand slams, 26 tour titles, and the Olympic gold medal in mixed doubles.) After that, Jason coached Artem Sitak from 940 into the top 300 in the ATP rankings. (He later achieved his top ranking of 39 in the world in doubles and won 3 ATP tour doubles titles.)

Jason has hit with, coached, and practiced with top junior, collegiate, and professional players at tournaments on four continents and in six countries. He has had a very unique tennis journey.
